Security & Compliance Platform Sicura Expands Leadership Team, Bringing on Experienced Cyber Leaders as Chief Operating Officer, VP of Sales & Business Development

Baltimore, MD — Sicura, a platform that enables IT organizations to automate and de-risk the enforcement of security policies, announced the hiring of Evan Dornbush as Chief Operating Officer and Todd Vollmer as Vice President of Sales and Business Development.

Sicura was founded in June of 2021, but the company’s origin story begins in 2009 as an R&D team working with the NSA. Today, Sicura is used daily by customers in government, financial services, and by managed-service providers. The product automates the enforcement of leading technical controls including CIS Benchmarks, PCI-DSS, HIPAA, and the DISA STIGs.

Evan Dornbush is an experienced cyber company builder. He co-founded and served as CEO of Maryland cyber workforce platform Point3, which he bootstrapped through its acquisition by Cyber Capital Partners in 2022. Previously, he ran customer experience at Vulnerability Research Labs, which was acquired by Computer Sciences Corporation. Like the Sicura team, Dornbush has roots at Fort Meade where he started his career as a Computer Network Operator at the NSA.

Todd Vollmer brings over 20 years of experience selling complex IT and cybersecurity solutions across government, enterprise, and midmarket verticals. His previous work with Mandiant, Arcsight, and Orca brings a comprehensive understanding of the needs of technical buyers and insights into the broader cybersecurity and DevOps landscapes.
